Mountain Pass with Mountain ranges with Background

*Himachal Pradesh hosts several important mountain passes, each aligned with major Himalayan ranges. In the Pirpanjal Range, key passes include Rohtang Pass (connecting Kullu to Lahaul), Sach Pass (Chamba to Pangi), and Hamta Pass (Kullu to Spiti). *The Greater Himalayan Range features Pin Parvati Pass and Kaliheni Pass, linking Kullu with Spiti and Bara Bhangal respectively. *In the Zanskar Range, Baralacha La connects Lahaul to Ladakh, while the Kunzum Pass in the Kunzum Range connects Lahaul with Spiti. *These high-altitude passes, mostly above 4,000 m, serve as critical links between river valleys and mark transitions between climatic zones—from monsoonal valleys to cold deserts—while also supporting seasonal migration and hydrological divides.
